Need help!

ok, so i just built my first computer and i am having some problems, my monitor is not being filled ( black lines on border ) and i dont know how to fix it i have tried changing the resolution but no help there.. any ideas on how to fix? im running off hdmi on a amd radeon HD 6800! thanks in advance 😀

Are fans spinning (CPU and/or GPU) ?
Any lights on ... anywhere?

Go into CCC --> My Digital Flat-Panels --> Properties and then disable underscan.

Should fix the problem.

just went to play just cause 2 and the lines came back, only when i play games though.. any ideas?

You could try googling around for "just cause 2 underscan fix" or something like that, but I never got underscan to go away completely when I was hooked up over HDMI on my old 7970. I eventually used a DVI-->HDMI cable that I had lying around and that got rid of the problem, so you could always just use an adapter or different cable since underscan is only enabled on HDMI--HDMI as far as I know.

seems alot easier to go buy an adapter! thank you anyway
