Need Help

I have a hp pavilion elite hpe case and i got a nvidia geforce gt 440 and i want to upgrade to at least a 550ti but i dont know if it will fit.
The 440 specs are:
Bus Support PCI-E 2.0 x 16
Height 4.376 inches
Length 5.7 inches
Width Dual-slot

My pc specs (if needed)
i5 2500 @ 3.3ghz
440 GT
1TB HDD
6GB RAM
win. 7 64bit
Pegatron 2ab6 sandybridge motherboard with PCI-Express
300W PSU ( yes i know i might need to upgrade)

The card will fit but that all depends on your case.
Do you have much room or have any other cards in the other slots?
I wouldnt suggest going with a 550ti , they are'nt that great, you rae better off getting a 560 or a 6850/6870.
Also yes you will definately have to purchase a better psu for one of these cards.

No i only have a gt 440 no others and these are rough measurements:
7 inches wide by 15.9 inches high by 16.5 inches deep and the 550 is 2x bigger so i dont see how it would fit..

A 560 is about 11.5 inches long, I assume you mean you have 15.9 inches length?

yes somewhere around there but there isnt much room inside so i dont think it would fit anyways..

You always go for a low profile card , they are usually smaller , but 15.9 inches is plenty of length.
Guess its hard for me to tell you exactly without being there to see it for myself

I'll take a picture and show you but i doubt it will fit. that is a massive card compared to mine right now.

A 550ti is only 8.25 inches , so which might be a good fit.

A 550ti/560 will fit in there for sure as they are just over 8 inches.

Grab a tape measure and see just to be 100%

There is a GTX560Ti that is just over 8" long, I know this because I have two of them.

It will fit , if you can try and get a 560 or 6870 at least , it will be better than a 550ti.
