what is the difference b/w a ddr3 and ddr2 graphic cards.
and would a ddr2 video card work with ddr3 ram and vice versa?
how would it run?

A bit difference in speed.
Vram has nothing to do with the ram of the mobo. DDR3 VRAM will work with DDR2 RAM. ( and vice versa )
