I currently have this terrible PC I use for gaming which I've had for 2 years now, specs are as follows;

Processor Family: AMD Athlon II
Processor Speed: 2.9 GHz
Processor Name: AMD Athlon II 635 Quad-Core
RAM: 4 GB
Storage Capacity (as Tested): 750 GB
Graphics Card: ATI Radeon HD 4200
Primary Optical Drive: Dual-Layer DVD+/-RW
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium
Tech Support: 1 year
CineBench 11.5 Multimedia Tests: 3.25
Handbrake Multimedia Tests: 2:35 min:sec
PCMark Vantage: 5875
MULTIMEDIA TESTS - PhotoShop CS5: 5:52 min:sec

and so, my question is, what parts would I need to change aka buy to get it to run games coming out today, more or less MMORPGs like Vindictus, C9, etc., and how much would it cost?

I plan on asking for the parts on Christmas :na:

What's your budget? For a rig that's solely for gaming, I would look at AMD's new APU line.

These core components should get you started. The cool thing about apu's is that they have decent integrated graphics, and you can add a discreet videocard later for a combined gaming performance boost. The SSD will serve as your boot drive, and you can install a few games as well. You already have a 750gb hard drive, so storage shouldn't be an issue.

363.95 is cost of these components before taxes and shipping. For a couple hundred dollars more you can go with an i3 setup, and get a decent discreet gpu. It would be the better setup, albeit more expensive.
