Need New MMO

Hey guys....so I played SWTOR for 6 months and now I'm bored.

Looking for a good free MMO as a replcacement.

Any suggestiONs???

TERA just went free to play. Check that out if the action-combat interests you at all. I played the game pretty seriously when it released but did eventually step away from the game. I wasn't so much bored with it as I was unwilling to continue playing on the schedules of other people. I've moved on from MMO's completely and don't intend on going back for anything less than a stellar title, but I would say that I really enjoyed TERA while I played it and that I think the game hits a lot of technical high-notes for the genre.

I also tried GW2 when that released because I had some friends who were insistent on playing it, but all of us quit rather quickly. The game was just bland, and void of any real reason to play. I logged in for giggles before deleting it from my computer somewhat recently and found my formerly large server was a relative ghost town. Also the game isn't free so that probably precludes it from your consideration altogether.

Planetside 1 is going free to play soon. And yes, before you mention the sequel, I realize PS2 is free to play also. Thing is, it's not really an mmo in the sense you are looking for. It's just BF/COD in a larger scale. Nothing sets it apart from your modern shooter we've seen for the past 5 years. PlanetSide 1 is more of an MMO in that you have character progression, no class system, higher TTK, unique weapons/vehicles and just an overall more community feel than I've ever had elsewhere. PS1 is more MMO/FPS/TPS/RTS/RPG.

Planetside 2 is more fun if you got friends to play with as with a little team work you can own 98% players.

The Secret World is probably the most different MMO i can think of, so give that a try if you want something to refresh you.

PlanetSide 1 is much funner. PS2 low time to kill negates skills and brings it down to who sees who first. Horrible flinch and screen shake mechanics don't help either. The capture system is also absurd. You just stand next to a cap point and that's it. Copy of the ticket system from BF. PS1 is the better game in every regard except graphics. PS1 may be aesthetically superior but PS2 takes the cake with technicalities I guess.
