Question Need opinions on new system

Hey y'all,

So the builds my fiancee and I have been using are about 5 years old now, and way back then I had put them together. Mine is still doing ok, but his is starting to show signs of age - random restarts, booting him out of games, etc. I was looking at a few Black Friday deals on Newegg and wanted to get some opinions on which would be the best bang for our buck, since I don't have the time or energy to assemble the tower from scratch again, and I can't spend a fortune (trying to keep it under $800).

Games we frequently play include Ark (both Evolved and Ascended, though Ascended is a resource hog and framerates notoriously suck still, it's not well-optimized yet), 7 Days To Die, Phasmophobia, Conan Exiles, Sons of the Forest, and we're planning to play Enshrouded when it comes out in January. There are other games of course, but I think these are most likely the biggest resource hogs, and if we can play these, then anything should be good.

Which of the following setups do y'all think would be the best for us?

Also, how would I go about finding out which components of his old build are salvageable, as I wanted to use whatever is still good to upgrade my daughter's build as well.

Thanks!

What are the components of his old build....in as much detail as possible?

Oh boy...honestly I don't know this anymore. Hers is closer to 11 years old now, and while it can still run all of the above mentioned games (aside from ASA), it does struggle, even on lowered graphics settings. I'd like to reuse as much of his old build as possible, but I fully expect to have to pilfer some parts into his new build, like RAM.

His old PC is circa 4 year old tech.

Hers is 11.

Not likely to be much that can be transferred from his to hers...other than possibly the drives if that would be useful. Pending more details from you.

But I am not understanding something.

You intend to buy a new complete system for him. True?

If that is true, why would you then "fully expect to have to pilfer some parts into his new build, like RAM".................leaving aside whether any of those parts in his old build are even compatible with his new system.

Can you not simply give his old system to your daughter...11 year old PC replaced by 4 year old PC?

That's my hope, yes. I expect to move over his 2TB hard drive and probably RAM, as it seems like the builds I was looking at are quite a bit lower on RAM.

My ultimate goal is to fix whatever I can in his old build, and replace what I have to, possibly using parts from my identical build to step her build up and buy myself the same one I get for him, or something comparable in the future.

To an extent, that's the plan. But I need to find out why his rig is starting to shut down, only when playing games - not when just browsing the internet or watching YouTube. And it's random - sometimes it'll restart the entire PC, and sometimes it just crashes the game he's playing. If I can narrow down what's going on there, then I can think about how to best upgrade it for my daughter.

It is pure speculation that RAM from his old PC is compatible with any new system.

It may not be recognized at all.

It may be recognized, but will not run at ideal speeds.

As a rule, it's better to have a total of 2 sticks of RAM rather than 4.

You can of course try anything and see what happens.

Apparently, you'd like 32 gb RAM in his new system. I assume you have rejected all available new systems that come with 32 gb from the factory.

Not necessarily, it's just that those rigs didn't fall in my budget range. Right now I have it narrowed down to the four I included in my OP, but I haven't been able to do nearly the amount of research I was able to do when I originally built our matching systems. Thus, my reason for asking opinions on which of those four would best work for our needs.
