Question Need pc upgrade help

Hello to anyone that can help I’m really in need of a pc upgrade but don’t have much money I have an i7 7700k and a gtx 1050 ti I bought this pc for extremely cheap from a friend two years ago but now its really starting to show its age I have about 300 dollars and was wondering if upgrading the gpu to a 1650 or maybe 2060 would actually improve my performance or if there is no point since my cpu is also old I’m basically just trying to patch the situation until I can get enough to fully get a new pc I’m interested in playing high on life and the new hog warts legacy does anyone know if that would be enough of an upgrade to be able to play?

IMO a 7700K still has some headroom for a better GPU than the 1050ti. I think the price point you are talking about puts you the level of 1660/6600 which are quite good with 1080/60 gaming+.

Consideration should be made regarding your case air flow as well as what PSU you currently have and its age.
