i just bought a gtx 1060 for my dell optiplex mt 3010, and i need a 8 pin connector the graphics card but the current psu dosen't have one. whats a cheap effective psu that has a 8 pin?

I think any modern PSU should have an 8 pin connector. My Corsair TX650M powers my similar RX-580 just fine. Don't cheap out on a PSU, and make sure to check out the reviews before buying.

There are no cheap effective power supplies.
Quality units are not cheap.
If your GTX1060 needs more than the usual 6 pin connector; it likely is a factory overclocked version.
550w may suffice, but usually 650w does not cost much more.
Look at the warranty as a way to estimate quality. Some units with only a 5 year warranty are ok.
If you find a unit with a 7 year warranty or more, the quality is likely to be good.
Seasonic focus and corsair rm are good places to start looking.
