Please guide me if ive bought the correct parts for myself.System will me bainly for Bf3 gaming and some mild surfing.My budget is strict $750 cant go above it.Any better suggestions accepted.



Definitley wont get a 2500k as i wont overclock and z68 and p67 mobos are out of my budget.

One question, why get a 212 hyper if you're not going to get into overclocking?

Also, you are aware that the H61 lacks features, such as USB 3.0 and SATA III?

Nekulturny is right, no need for the 212 if you're not overclocking, the standard cooler will be fine.

If you're not going to be using any USB 3 devices and aren't getting a SATA 3 SSD, then you'll be fine with H61.

Otherwise you'll be fine on BF3 at that resolution.

Since you are not overclocking, drop the Coolermaster 212+ and upgrade your mobo to this:

MSI H67A-G43 (B3) LGA 1155 Intel H67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

I just built a system based on the 2400 and that MB and everything went flawlessly.

^As they note, you can get USB 3.0 and SATA 6 Gb/s even with cheaper H67 (and some H61) boards. This may not matter much now, but when you get a SATA 6Gb/s SSD (and eventually you will), it will make a difference.

Ill be doing a bit mild overclocking like from 3.1 ghz to 3.4 or 3.5,but not extreme.If i go for the core i5 2500k,i will definitely overclock,so here im confused :

1.Go for i5 2500k and spend a bit more.

2.Can you suggest a good motherboard having usb3.

3.How will the 6870 perform against gtx 560ti.

4. and lastly any suggestions for a completely new build would be realy good as i doubt that this build would be less future proof.

SATA III doesnt matter,as i cant afford a SSD right now,Too expensive HDD's these days,so ill use my old 500GB WD

1.You cant overclock a 2400. The "k" at the end of the numbers denotes overclockability in the Core series, Black Edition denotes this for AMD. Honestly, unless you do something entirely insane with the voltage settings, theres very little risk in frying a chip from overclocking these days. If you're still worried, Intel does offer for 20 bucks with a 2500k a one time replacement for a fried chip. Go ahead and spend the extra couple bucks for the 2500k if you want, otherwise, I'd downgrade to a Phenom II, since you can overclock that and get the same performance of the more expensive 2300/2400.

3. About the same, maybe slightly better with the 560 TI
