Need some advice on how to remove air pockets water cooled

Hey everyone, just looking for some advice on how to remove these air pockets from my build.

I have large air pockets in only a few hoses.

Should I just let it run for a while with the rest cap off?



I have a res and pump combo.

I'm trying to upload a photo from my phone since my pc is obviously mia atm but can't seem to get it. I wold be willing to email the photo to anyone interested in helping me out.

I'll gladly help, send a pic to (removed my email for privacy purposes).
Are you using hard or soft tubing? If soft, then just move them around a bit, that should get the bubbles to the highest point in the loop, where you ought to have your fill port.
Either type of tubing, just turn the fan on and off for a few secs at a time, that will get the bubbles moving aroumd the loop. Just do that until they are all out.

DO NOT RUN YOUR LOOP WITH THE FILL PORT OR ANY OTHER HOLE OPEN, THE COOLANT COULD GO EVERYWHERE!!!

Usually we top off the reservoir, seal it with the plug, and tilt the machine to the left and right and sometimes front to rear until the air gets a to a point it goes to the reservoir.

Keep an eye on the reservoir and when the coolant level drops, top it back off, seal it and continue until all the air is out.

If your pump has speed control, make sure it is running at it's fastest speed.

Ok, thanks ryan, thats what I was saying to him via email as well. He has his hardware PLUGGED IN THOUGH!!! Please confirm that you have to bridge the green and a black wire on the 24 pin so that the psu works.
P.S. huge fan of your work, love the peltier cooling thread and the overclocking contest thread. Took me ages to read through it all though. Good job.

To confirm you never directly run your machine completely powered when installing and leak testing new water cooling, always keep your M/B and other components unplugged until you are 100% positive you have no leaks.

You can directly force the power supply to run powering your water cooling pump only, by jumping the green wire on the 24pin motherboard connector with any of the other black wires in that connector.

That way if you have a leak onto important components it won't short out the system, just fix the leak, clean up the leak, and make sure it is dry before powering the system.

I've run my setups for hours testing for leaks before ever powering up.

Ok, thanks for the confermation, couldn't remember for sure if it was the green wire. I've already told him to put paper towels over the gpu and under any other fittings, so hopefully it will be safe from leaks and easy to identify where they are if there are any.

P.S. you mind if I post on the peltier thread? I'm really into overclocking (even though I can't do it right now) and would love to learn some more about this peltier concept. I came up with a similar thing during my phisics class and thats how I found your thread.

Wow, thanks. Any other advice we should give the OP though, before we get off topic? In my opinion, the tubing route he used seems a bit strange. How can I upload the pics from a tablet? Any ideas? Sorry for noobness, never needed to upload pics before. Basically, there are 2 massive arcs from the back of the case, outside the case, up and onto the top radiator. Everything inside looks fine, it's just those massive arcs seem a bit precarious to me. Any tips on how to show photos are appreciated, thanks.
