1660 Super is the lower mid range card to get now, a very strong 1080 resolution card for about $240, if you can't afford that a 1650 Super is about $170 for many versions and is also good for 1080, it will just need to be on a bit lower settings and probably will be best on a 60 hz monitor.

A second RAM stick will also help a bit to have the system run in dual channel.

You haven't listed your GPU.

Depends on what you are going to play though, if you are into competitive shooters and Moba games (CSGO, Valorant, LoL Dota 2) then your PC is more than okay, however if you are into newer games such as the new Cyberpunk 2077 and etc. I'd recommend bumping your RAM to 16gb. the I5 6500 is really capable almost matching my current and old CPU (I7 3770) however it might start to show it's age in a couple of years.

Depends on what your budget is. however with that CPU I would recommend a GTX 1060 or 1660 (or even a 1660ti) those options could be decent budget solutions and I don't think they would bottleneck too much with your CPU, but then again depends on what you are going to play if you are thinking about adding more RAM then you might be into some heavy performance games.
