Hey there. So I'm trying to put together a midrange budget pc for gaming and work. With a budget of around 700 dollars ( I haven't tallied up the costs yet but it should be under 700) I've been asking and searching around for some time now. And I've finally narrowed down pretty much what I want. Thanks to a few suggested builds, which you guys put together for me. I was able to mix and match some parts into what seems to be a pretty good build. but before I start ordering the parts I need a bit more help from you guys, if you're willing.

I'm not entirely sure that all these parts are fully compatible. I'm also not entirely sure if my PSU is of a high enough wattage. And on top of all that I haven't narrowed down a case yet. One that I know is compatible atleast. So if you guys could give my build a once over to make sure it is all compatible it would be much appreciated. And if it just so happens that any of the parts aren't compatible. If you would be as kind as to offer up a suitable replacement within a similar price and quality range it would GREATLY appreciated *wink* . . So yeah, with out further adieu here's the build.

CPU: AMD FX-6300 3.5GHz 6-Core Processor

Motherboard: Asus M5A97 AM3+

RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2133 Memory

Hard drive: Western Digital Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

Power supply: Corsair Builder 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply

Video card: MSI Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition 2GB Video Card

Optical drive: Samsung SH-224DB/BEBE DVD/CD Writer

OS : Windows 7

Case: undecided. Need suggestions.

So yeah that's it guys. Once again, if you could give it a good scrutinizing to confirm its compatibility and good worth it would be greatly appreciated. And also I need to know if the chosen PSU offers enough wattage. And of course I also need a suggestion or two for a good Case. Lol, and that's it. Thanks!

Excellent build, its all compatible and the PSU is plenty enough for the rig so you should be fine i couldn't suggest any new parts to you except that if you can find a r9 270X for cheaper that a Radeon 7870 then i would grab that instead as its a newer version of it with a bit more power. Other than that if it fits in the budget i would HIGHLY recommend the Corsair 300r (windowed if you want or not) its an absolutely stunning case with great airflow and should fit right in with your build, btw are you going to be overclocking?... Hope I helped -CJ

No, I think you're a little off there lol. That's Your build. I've already tallied up the costs of my build (free shipping on everything mind you). And it only came to 700. And that's With the OS by the way. I forgot to mention that I also have a set of windows install disks lying around somewhere. If I find them I can save a lot. But even if I have to buy a new OS. And with tax sprinkled around here and there. I'd estimate a final total of roughly 730. Not bad Me thinks. Thanks for the suggestions though!

Thanks a lot man! Unfortunately, I don't think the R9 270X is within the budget. But the corsair looks great! Not windowed though because I'm sure it's gonna be a mess in there lol. And no, I doubt I'm going to be overclocking. Though the M5a97 offers a great UI for such. So I might be tempted to try it out. Anyhow. Thanks for the help. And do you think the build will be cool enough? (temp wise of course) I'd hate to have to add an extra fan. Thanks again.

I think you should be fine if you dont over clock just make sure that rear fan is exhaust and the front fan is intake which im sure it will come installed that way. anyway im glad i was of help to you and welcome to the master race buddy!
