Need some help Evga GTX 770 VS GTX 970

I wanted to know if it's worth upgrading from my Evga GTX 770 to the Evga GTX 970 with the system specs I have ?


Intel Core i5-4570 @3.20GHz || MSI G45 Gaming motherboard || G.SKILL Ares Series 8 GB @1600 MHz || SAMSUNG 850 250GB || Western Digital Blue 1TB || EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650 || CM Storm Scout 2 Advanced - Gaming Mid Tower || LG LCD Monitor [Max: 1680x1050] || Evga GTX 770

With that monitor resolution, I wouldnt bother.

Unless you enjoy spending money I don't really see a tangible performance gain. The 970 is more power efficient but really your 770 has much more life left in it yet, I would probably wait until the next gen if I was in your shoes. Especially running a 1680 monitor, you must already be able to max everything? In fact... I would upgrade the monitor first...

Only upgrade if you can't play your games in your current GPU the way you want ^^
I believe the 770 still a good card and still serve you well.

The highest resolution I ever play on going is 1080... I'm just trying to keep my system as up to date as possible.

I only play BF4 right now and multiplayer I play on low I want kills not eye candy.. but if I play a single player I put on ultra.

Well In that case you'd better upgrade to get the best performance on multiplayer .
