Hello community,

I am going to build a new pc with the components below:

SSD:SAMSUNG 850 PRO 512GB
MOTHERBOARD: GIGABYTE Z270X-ULTRA GAMING
CPU: Intel Core i7-7700K 4.2GHz Quad-Core Processor
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LED 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3000 Memory
CASE: Corsair Crystal 570X RGB ATX Mid Tower Case
PSU: Corsair 1000W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
GPU:MSI GeForce GTX1060 6GB
COOLING: Corsair H100i v2.

In addition,i will not overclock the CPU.

My question is:

Will i have issues with CPU temperature?

If i will,what can i change/do to prevent this?

Thanks in advance.

Solution

I don't think you will have any issues with temp. You will have a nice water cooler. For the people say 1000 w is to much. Who cares...

Sry i didnt see the motherboard you suggested

Guess who is gonna change the pc parts for the new build pc :)

With H100i water colling,do i need to apply thermo paste too?

Yes, thermal paste is always needed.

Can i ask you something else please?I have a lenono H50-50 and on it installed a SSD Samsung pro 512.The question is when i will build the new pc,can i immediately plug the ssd to the new motherboard and then install the GPU and motherboard drivers?Or must i format the disk and make a fresh windows install?

Yeah i just thought that i could plug it at once without format it to the new build

Not recommended, too many problems normally.

Thank you for answering at short notice.
And something else.Which version must i install 32bit or 64bit windows?

64 Bit.

Thanks

Defiantly once you start adding more storage and if you decided to do any sli/crossfire for your pc. I would keep your setup how you have above. I will say if you will do any type of streaming, video recording, video editing or photo editing. I would jump from 16 to 32gb of ram. I currently have 24GB of ram in mine and i do that stuff. I only reason i didn't go to 32 is because my computer came with 8 gb and when i bought more ram it only came in 2 x 8gb of ram.

Can i ask u something else?Maybe you know. What is the appropriate voltage for non-overcloked i7-7700k?

I'm not sure what the appropriate voltage would be. I know this might be a Germanic answer is. I would look at the box or the specs on Intel website. Whatever the voltage requirements would be for the CPU. It shouldn't pass that number very often when not being overclocked. I never overclocked anything that I had. I always wanted to. But I didn't want to void my warranty. And by the warranty is up and/or by the time I want overclock my CPU; the CPU is just warned out.

The only way Intel and AMD have been making better processor is by adding more core's to it. They haven't been able to find a way to get more speed out of them. I believe the fastest processor is 4.2 -4.3GHz. Until they find a way to make that speed jump way higher on their own without overclocking. The processor world is kinda stuck. That's quantum computing is on everyone mind right now. Because of the amount of speed it has.

I am asking because i've heard that some motherboards are giving a voltage value (obviously high) and the temperature of CPU is rising. And i want to know if i will have such a problem,to check the voltage from BIOS

To be honest. I never heard of that. I always updated bios. The only things I have changed in bios is my boot order and turned on virtualization. Everything else I leave on default. And I never had an issue with temperature is if the motherboard with old age raised the fan speed of the CPU fan. Of long periods of time under load. Then i just switched to water cooled for CPU.
