need some help with gpu options

ok so 2 weeks ago i did the impossible on craigslist. found a broken man forced to sell his glorious rig, due to a female lol.... glad my g/f games ha any ways so i got this pc for 500$ and i had just got a evga ssc gtx 970. I love the 970 its not a bad card and i have pushed this thing, never experienced the bs 3.5 stutter issue. ok so the only thing i want is id like to be able to run games with max msaa / eye candy bs, and the 970 isnt made for that. im interested in the 980 ti as i can do a upgrade through evga. plz any thought and opinions would be great, just mainly wanna kno if the 980 ti is worth it and i kno parts go out of style fast but could i use that card on max settings at 1080p for atleast 5 years? i plan on going 2k later on but i mainly game at 1080p i kno its not worth it if ur just running basic but im talking about maxing every single setting i want some future proofing.

i5 4690k with h110i cooler
8 gb corsair dominator 2133mhz
250gb ssd
msi z97 gaming 5
evga supernova 750w
forgot to add that this came with a corsair 760t case which is like 180 on new egg

I own an Asus Strix GTX 980 and I play all multiplayer games @ 1080p with 80+ Fps and singleplayer games with 100+ Fps on Ultra settings. You could go for a GTX 980 but if you really want uncompromising performance on ALL games and 100+ Fps go for the 980 Ti. Both cards will hold you for years.

Your system is more than a match for a 980 ti.

As a gamer myself yes, especially considering how much you paid for that rig.

ya and the craziest thing I sold my g/fs old rig for about 600 with a fx 6300 and a r9 280x last week to make up for what I paid then I just gave her my rig and swaped gpus. was nervious kinda lol im a big dude but u never kno dude came with his wife and kid fealt bad for the poor guy..
