Hello to everyone of the community,
After finally get all stuffs in hands and finished read all manuals I got some doubts that I would like to solve with the help of community. The hardware:
Core i5-4670K
Zalman 2 Ball Cooler Led
EVGA GTX 770 ACX
Asus Maximus VI Hero
2 x 4GB G.Skill Sniper 1,25V 1600Mhz
SSD Samsung 840 Pro Series 128GB
HD Seagate Barracuda 1TB
Seasonic X Series 650W
Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced
The first doubts became after read all contents of the EVGA card. There is a important notice that says: "Before installing the EVGA GeForce GTX 700 Series graphic card, it's recommended to update your motherboard BIOS to the latest version". In the user's guide there is another red note: "If your motherboard has integrated or onboard video, you may need to disable it first, please contact your system or motherboard manufacturer for additional information". After read this I'm thinking that the first boot should be without the EVGA card installed and after update BIOS and disable the integrated video install the card, is it right? The second doubt became after read in the session Graphics Cards Requiring Additional Power of the user's guide: "If your card is equipped with a supplemental power adapter, it's required that it be connected at the first time of installation. This supplemental power adapters ensures that your graphics card receives the necessary power that will allow it to function at optimal performance levels." The card became with one 6pin cable adapter and one 8pin cable adapter but it seems that this adapters are useless, once the Seasonic got 6pin and 8pin in the outputs that can directly be connected in the card. Should I power the card directly or use this adapters? Excuse my ignorance if this are simple questions. For now I would like to ask only this, but if anyone can provide-me some tips and directions to help building this system without damage anything I will be very grateful. Certainly many doubts will surge, like first boot in a SSD, etc. Thanks to everyone.
