Need some information about my cpu readings

GTx660 2 Gb non Ti




Greetings guys,
so recently i opened my cpu to change thermal paste
and after that i noticed some crashes in a specific game.. that never happened before!
then i started wondering if i didnt set my cpu fan correctly ...

whats that 99x99 stuff??

by the way i had my pc running at maximum power mode i just disabled it maybe that was the case?

because my cpu was always in boost mode 4Ghz

for me the link is working 😵 problem is i deleted the picture and now i changed my power more to balanced from always maximum..
now its seems cooler by 10 degrees but... idk

I know very little about this but...

It looks like the CPU is being significantly undervolted, running ~ 1399.88Mhz at .7880 volts. (99.99Mhz baseclock times multiplier of 14 = 1399.88Mhz.) A 4790 normally runs more like 100Mhz baseclock times a multiplier of 36 = 3600Mhz at something like 1.065 Volts. For a non-K chip, you generally don't want mess with any of that manually. Going up OR down can cause instability.

As far as running at 4Ghz, that's Turbo Boost. Whenever there's thermal headroom, it runs at the boost frequency which is 4Ghz for a 4790, single thread. It will automatically throttle back down if temps rise too much. Your screenshot is showing temps barely above the minimum.

If anything, it almost looks like the settings a laptop would use to conserve battery power. I would change back to max power mode and see if it goes back to 3.6-4Ghz (normal) and see if the temps rise beyond spec. If they do, you might need to redo the paste.
