Need some input on Ram for motherboard.

Need some input. I purchased 16 gb Kingston DDR3 ram that runs at Speed 2400 MHz with Latency Timings 11-13-14 . That is The specifications I got from Kingston. But my motherboard specifications said for 2400 mhz ram the timings should be 10-11-13-30. Is it ok to run the ram? I have A Asus A88x Pro motherboard with a AMD A10-6800k processor.

Go with manufacturers settings.

It should be able to run the tighter timings, will prob have to input manually

Well All i am getting when i boot up is a message saying AE. And According to my book it says no OS or hard drive. And I do have windows 7 installed on a SSD witch is working. Could it be a ram issue stopping the system from booting?

Is the DRAM set up correctly? Is your SSD (with OS on it) set as the primary boot drive in BIOS?

Yes it is set as the primary Boot device.. And I can't set the timing on the ram manually as it won't let me. It is set to auto and it does not not let me change it. I can Change other setting like the MHz, but not the timing. I cannot figure out why it is not letting me.

May be a setting before it that's on auto that allows the manipulation of the timings that will have to be set to manual

Well I decided that to switch the ram with another brand. ADATA with timings that the book suggests that came with my motherboard. The only concern I have is would the old ram have messed anything up. would there be a problem if install The new ram?

No, and can reset the mobo to its defaults, if any worries on voltages having been affected

I can reset the motherboard if i restore the defaults some way or another, but I was told to just remove the Motherboard's battery to do so.

I did not have to reset the motherboard after installing the new ram. it ran fine. Thanks for the help.
