Need some input on this 2k system

Hello all, I'm looking into building a new system mainly for 2 games coming out soon BF3 and The Old republic at near or max settings. Looking for input or tweeks on this build . I currently run screen res @ 1920x1200.

Go with the i5 2500K to save some bucks. It runs virtually as fast as the 2600K for games. You can get very nice overclocks with an air cooler and save even more money, the 2500K and 2600K both overclock a lot on a good air cooler. After reading the article on micro stuttering I would go with a single faster card instead of 2 in SLI.

Motherboard wise if you’re leaning to EVGA go for them, they offer much much much better support if anything went wrong. I have a Asus motherboard and am happy with it though.
2600k is great but what will you do that benefits from hyperthreading, do you do video editing? if not maybe 2500k (unless u just want the very best )
16GB ram is too much IMO, 8 is more than enough these days, can always upgrade later if you feel you need.
two gtx 560 ti is better than a single 580. However with a 580 you can always sli later (expensive though). i Have Evga gtx 560 ti superclocked and am happy with it, so two will be great.
HX 1050 is a lot for a gtx 560 sli (850 is fine), however it will last multiple builds so if you’re happy with overkill that’s fine.

Are you planning to do anything intensive besides gaming? If so, the memory capacity you're going for is overkill by a factor of two, and if not, then by a factor of four. You'll get better performance for less with these:

As has been said, you can do a lot better than SLI 560ti on that budget. From what the BF3 devs have let slip, you'll want more framebuffer than is offered by Nvidia in their value-performance line. If you go Nvidia, I'd recommend the GTX 580 as a minimum (and naturally a maximum). 6970s in CF would be a good alternative.

16GB ram = no impact on gaming.

8GB is MORE than enough.

560Ti's in SLI - OK so its better NOW than a single 580. But if in future you want to add another card, with 2 560s you need to replace both cards. If you had a 580 to begin with you could easily add another in for some INSANE performance increase.

Bottom line: If you can afford SLI straight off the bat, generally dont bother, buy the most expensive single card you can afford, SLI it later on/in a couple of years if you feel you need to.

1000w PSU - OVERKILL for 560Ti's in SLI, 750w is plenty. If you considering 580's though, stick with the 100w.

This Asrock board down below has the NF200 bride allowing for dual cards to run @ x16 & x16. It's new on the market (just came out a few days ago), and if it's anything like their other 1155 boards then it's a winner. This board also has the new PCI-E 3.0 slots for the new generation cards due out whenever.

The psu down below is manufactured by Enermax for LEPA and at that price it's a steal not to mention it gives you plenty of juice to push two of those cards.

Also keep in mind the OCZ SSD's are about as reliable as a ship with holes in it's hull hence the reason the Crucial M4's are selling off the hook atm.
