So i got 3x DDR3 2GB xms3 Corsair 2000mhz installed
Timings are 9,9,9,24
Voltage 1.65

and i need to add 1x DDR3 4GB 1600mhz having same Timings and 1.50V

i have 6 slots ( 3 blue ,3 whites ) and currently all whites are in use.

Motherboard : Gigabyte x58a-ud3r (rev 2.0) bios version : FF (couldnt upgrade because of incorrect file size)

Cpu : Intel Core i7 950
-----
i'm wondering if i can use a triple and a single, all on 1600mhz or lower.

i need this because for some reason after 7 years i realized that my ram was set to 1000 mhz and not higher. using XMP would cause infinite restart loop and manually i could get it to work for now near 1600mhz. i couldnt find out anything in PDF manual file.

if possible i need these details to config :
1_ voltage
2_ which slot to insert the single ram
3_ what Mhz to set
4_ timings
5_which bios to use

My suggestion is to buy a triple stick ram kit of the size you need.
Ram is sold in kits for a reason.
A motherboard must manage all the ram using the same specs of voltage, cas and speed.
Ram from the same vendor and part number can be made up of differing manufacturing components over time.
Some motherboards, particularly AMD can be very sensitive to this.
This is more difficult when more sticks are involved.
That is why ram vendors will NOT support ram that is not bought in one kit.
It is safer to get what you need in one kit.
Perhaps something like this:

Adding a disparate stick May work.
but, what is your plan B if it does not?
I give your odds of success at 50/50.

if it failed to boot up, i can always remove the battery from motherboard and it would reset all to default when i remove power from it, worst case scenario is me going back to what i have been using, right ?

Of course, you can simply remove the extra 4gb stick and you are back where you started.

Minus, of course the $ you spent on the new stick.
All ram must run at a common speed, so your setup at best would revert to the 1600 speed of the new ram.

Probably best to sell what you have. You probably get $40 for it on ebay.
a 3 x 4gb kit would give you 12gb total for not much more net.
