Need suggestions for a External GPU

so, I have this laptop I got for my little brother, its an old one about 1 year and 4 months old, and I want to boost the efficiency of it, my brother likes to play games like payday 2 and go, and I want to get an eGPU to boost the laptop so he can play games on the laptop, I have 120$ to spend on this.. could someone please help me and give me a link to something that is compatible with the laptop I am gonna give him, and something that could boost the laptops efficiency so that he can play on it please. the laptop specs and down below. There is nothing to boost the performance of that laptop.
External GPUs are no worth while, nor do they add meaningful performance. They never have the proper bandwidth for the card to run at a proper bandwidth. In addition, you wont have the money to do an external GPU as well.

I looked into buying an eGPU and I saw plenty of them which are for less then 100$ and if I can't get an eGPU what do you suggest I do?
I don't have the$ for a new laptop or desktop.

Save up your money then, there really isnt anything else to do.
Ignoring all the downsides to an eGPU (which are plenty alone to drop the idea of an eGPU) you have to buy an interface (which range from 30-100 bucks), a graphics card (variable, nothing under 100 is worth it) and a power supply (you would want a quality unit, 50 more bucks).
This says nothing of the fact the processor alone is still too weak.

Link to the egpus you are seeing. Most likely they are just the adapter and no gpu or psu. The ones with psu are overpriced starting at like $200 but you can just get a $30 psu + $40 adapter. Gpu is bought separately which are just desktop cards and $50 left over is not enough for a decent upgrade since its performance is cut nearly in half. There is no way to get anything worthwhile with $120. The laptop itself is also lacking a good cpu and even with a decent gpu, you can't help that.

That is a normal gpu for a desktop. Laptops don't have pcie.

Laptops DO HAVE PCIE 1X ! my hp pavilion dv7 2080el has 3 of them!

THE WIFI module use it inside a laptop, just unplug it (then you have to buy a usb wifi module, install it ans then you will have wifi again on your pc), buy an egpu around 40€ , disinstall the video card , connect the new card at the egpu module and install the graphic card (the card will obviously work at pcie 1x speed not at 16x).

some laptop has a white list inside the bios that allow only some explicit card model to the pcie slot (you have to check it , search on the net for : bios white list egpu + your producer like acer / hp / lenovo / what ever + the generic model of your laptop i.e. "pavilion" or "aspire" or "zenbook", so you will know if you have a pcie slot blocket).

if your laptop has this block you have to proceed to upgrade the firmware with a modded version of your original bios version, search for blogs where they provide the right modding program for you laptop producer and the correct bios manufacturer's version you use in your pc).

That's mpcie not pcie. It's x1 bandwidth but it's not the same slot. Think of it like usb and micro usb. Same thing but different plug and you can't plug them into each other without an adapter.
