Hi all, I know it's usually not advised to use a lower end PSU but I already bought a Focus. That's a bit of a long story, my dad has it and I won't see him for a couple months so I will be without a PC for a while. I do own, however, a 600W generic PSU that I could connect to my computer right now (I'm also interested in connecting it as a way to test and make sure what's really broken is the old PSU-- which everything points to that). I realize that the 600W PSU is probably not a real 600W but I don't plan to use a GPU right now and I'm not overclocking anything so my power usage is around 200-300W max.

So I was wondering which kind of adapter I should get.

because I run across a few types:

4-pin to 8-pin (just uses the 4-pin cable from the PSU)

2-molex to 8 pin (uses two molex connectors to create the 8-pin)

and 1-molex to 4 pin (which I'm guessing the idea would be to use this one plus the P4 already in the PSU)

Is power delivery different for these ? if so which is preferable?

Thanks buddie, forgot to mention that it's a 6600k, non-overclocked build. Though I was mainly looking to find out whether these adapters are truly interchangeable or not.
