Hi guys,
I need help please, I just completed my new rig, however I need to install windows on the 950 samsung m.2
I have an 850 evo ssd which was my boot drive from my laptop.
I want to somehow copy that image to the m.2 drive and boot from it in the new system.
Bearing i mind The laptop the 850 came from is dead.
I do have a third laptop, and and external ssd connector (for the 850 evo) and samsungs data migration software.
The ssd has windows 7 on it, I do have a free upgrade to win 10 which I was holding off on, but I would like the new rig to be win 10

I await your wisdom sirs...

Solution
You won't be able to do that for a couple reasons.
1. You don't have an install image on the 850, you have an installed system. That installed system won't boot a different hardware config.
2. You can't use the license key associated with the laptop.

You need to buy a Windows license and install media.
