My son has a tablet (Galaxy S3 Kids running jellybean). I just upgraded his device because he starts kindergarten in the fall and his tab is outdated and doesn't run ABC Mouse.com. The new one I got him runs windows 10 and I need to be able to set parental rules. If it were android I know a thousand ways to do it but with windows I am not sure. I have never had to do this before. I read a bit about user account controls but I don't know if that is the best option or if there is something else. He has a microsoft account because he needed an email address awhile ago but the microsoft parental controls don't seem like they would keep him from being able to destroy the OS. It's in the mail so can someone help me, please?

Solution
make his account a standard user for one thing

not an administrator

windows 10 does have built in parental controls but never had to use them so dont know how good they are or not

make sure system restore is turned on

its not fool proof as some times it fails to restore but it at least gives you a chance if disaster strikes

could also make a recovery image once its all set up exactly how you want it to be for him

recovery image saved to usb etc so its independent from his device
