Need to replace the CMOS battery on my Toshiba Satellite L-355-S7817 laptop.

I can't get the top cover off the laptop in order to access the motherboard and replace the CMOS battery. I have watched a few "how to" videos online and none of them match up with my laptop in
regards to getting the top cover off. Help!!

I found one youtube, according to youtube, as long as you remove the keyboard, you will see the CMOS battery. Good luck.

Thanks for the heads up, but unfortunately, the video you referred to covers another model of Toshiba, one that has the CMOS battery in a readily accessible location, whereas the model laptop I have requires accessing the motherboard. Bummer. But thanks anyway.
