[SOLVED] Need to Upgrade from AMD FX 4300 cpu, for better gaming!

I have a Cyberpower/ Gamers ultra series/ AMD edition/ model :C SERIES
GUA1200BST
AMD FX 4300 3.8GHz Quad Core processor.
8GB DDR 3 Memory.
1TB 7200 HD
have upgraded the graphics card to a (GTX 960 2.GGB DDR 5/ GPU)
I would like to increase memory to 16 GB
What would be the most affordable upgrade(s) I should do,which would able me to play newer and larger games.
Budget is $350-$400 any suggestions?

What games are you wanting to play and at what resolution?

The 960 sits somewhere between a 1050 and 1050ti, so it's still not too bad at 1080p, even for new games, though 2gb gram will begin to become more of an issue.

You don't have too Many upgrade options on am3+, you could go for an 8300 + 16gb ram, but if you have $350 to play with I'd be tempted to get a Ryzen 2600, 16gb of ram (2,666 at least, but faster if you can) and a b450/b350 board. You should also have enough left over to get an SSD, which will make things feel snappier.

This will give you a nice platform which is supported for a couple of years and you can drop a new GPU in when you have more money.
