I am looking to build my system and confused what to buy AMD 8350 or i5?
My first priority is my work which is multithreading or rendering work like after effects, photoshop, max ,maya and secondly I also used it for gaming.
My other purchasing is:
Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB
MOBO H170 or z170 or 990fx
Ram 16GB
2Tb HDD
650Wt smps

If you are maybe planning on futthur upgrading your processor to an i7 etc in the future get the i5.
The FX 8350 has more cores and threads and will likely perform better than an i5 in your type of work. TheFX 8350's cores are weaker than the i5 though. I would say get the FX 8350, and buy a good air cooler to get a nice overclock on the FX 8350 to make those cores stronger. As for the motherboard, get a good mobo like the GA-970A-UD3P which you can get a very nice 4.9Ghz overclock on.

Hi Arham,
you also mentioned for gaming so i suggested for i5 6600k,,,if you go for multithreding and rendering then go for fx 8350

Also, if you could stretch your budget a bit, go for the i7 6700, the FX 8350 and i5 6600k will require slightly expensive overclocking motherboards and processor coolers, as well as good power supplies. The i7 6700 would be better than both the 8350 and i5 6600k, the processor itself may cost more, but you can settle for a cheap motherboard and wont have to buy an aftermarket cooler.

Ive also added an SSD to this part list if you want to buy one which i recommend you do.
