Hi guys,

I have an Asus P5QL/EPU motherboard. I would like to purchase a video card that will allow me to use 3 monitors w/o any issues.

My current video card is an amd radeon hd 6800 series. But i have problems with it when I try using 3 monitors. Any suggestions?

Thanks

OHHH lol OF COURSE you can!!! ?Using the hub is so much more complicated...
That's not supposed to happen and if it died in such a short time then I really have to assume you bought a faulty and/or junk adapter.

I saw a 290 for $230 on pcp and didn't know if you'd go up much higher considering the performance is a good amount better than a 960. You'd have to get another dp adpater though so that would put the price even higher for any amd choice.

I'm confused on one part though...why can't he use 3 screens with the 280 or 290? As far as I know I've seen so many do builds like to off Youtube and PCPP. So why??? Why can't he just try it first and he would realize that if it doesn't work he would have to buy an adapter anyways???

I mean to say I was confused with this:

Unfortunately most are having issues and it still requires dp. Nvidia doesn't need it though.

But in any way his card isn't recommended for a triple monitor setup (the 6800 series have only about a single gig for memory).

Hey, I don't think I'm the only one with screen tearing issues, check out this article: http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1793289

From what I've read, 280 for sure you need dp.
290 you don't anymore for 3 screens, but as you mentioned, some ppl are still having issues.

This one that you recommended me seems good: http://www.microcenter.com/product/443973/GeForce_GTX_960_Overclocked_2GB_GDDR5_PCI-e_Video_Card
Because it is within my budget, & from reviews, they say it's quiet as well.

Thanks
