Need Your Opinions

Hey Everyone,

I'm looking at upgrading to socket 939. I was going to get the Asus A8V DLX K8T800 PRO S939 Motherboard but im not sure on wich cpu to get it would be between the 3000+ 3200+ and if i wait a little longer the 3500+. What would you recommend. I'm a gamer if that helps hehe. If you would also recommend another Mobo tell me. I've selected this one because this is what my store carries in stock.

Ya im looking at MSI's website now there Nforce 4 boards are PCI Express. Do they make any that are AGP? I was looking at the K8N Neo2 Platinum Nforce 3 Is this a nice board? I only choose the Asus one because thats what my work has in stock. But i can find out if we can get any others.

I also have a K8N Neo 2 platinum; very pleased. It's a fast, stable mobo with great features.

If you are going to be re-using your graphics card, you should go s754. There is a better selection of s754 agp boards, at much better prices. The Asus K8N is a prime example, or it's more feature rich brother, the K8N Deluxe.
Besides, a s754 3200 will outperform a s939 3200, by a few %.

I was going to go with 939 because i think there going to discontinue the 754. And also i think the duel channel will help my system. I play EQ2 and with my X800 XT PE Its still a choppy when i raise the graphics up. Ya i remember reading that the 754 does a little better. But i think 939 will be supported longer than 754 will and therefore i will have be able to upgrade later on.
