Were you using only a single 6pin cable to power 7700xt and for 6800xt ?
They both require two 8pin cables.

GTX 750 ti is 60W card.
RX 7700XT is 250W card with transient power spikes up to 500W.
RX 6800XT is 300W card with transient power spikes up to 600W.

Your 550W PSU is fine for 60W card. But completely inadequate for modern high power cards.

Did you even tell them, what PSU you were using?
Probably not.
if you give me a chance to contact the manufacturer, i promise to update this post in a few days

I really don't think OP is here for a solution. All they're doing is trolling st this point. If there's a Mod around I'd suggest closing the thread.

This is a PSU well over a decade old and not a particularly great one when it was new. You need to replace it for a new GPU *no matter what the crashing behaviors are*.
roger that. as i mentioned to skybot, i will update this post after asking tech support to take another look at the reports

As far as using molex connectors for a 400-500 dollar gpu…wow I don’t care what you see guys on YouTube doing, using those connectors is NOT a good idea. I worked on a pc one where a tech had used a molex to sata power connector. System wouldn’t boot anymore. I look at it and the connector had caught fire and melted the power connection on the hard drive. In fact there were black scorch marks on the inside of the silver aluminum case. Lucy there wasn’t a house for.

The manufacturers have guidelines for a reason. I’ve fried a motherboard in the past due to using junk power supplies.

But don’t blame the graphics cards because you failed to use proper equipment. If you get a 500 dollar card don’t use a 30 dollar psu from 10 years ago to power it and complain when you have issues.

As far as the unwillingness to move beyond windows 7…I don’t get it. Been running windows 10 and now 11 for years. If you are that concerned with security there are guides out there on how to disable a lot of stuff.

In fact I’ve not used it, but check out atlas os. I think it basically lets you customize your windows install. Think I saw it in a video a while back but never tried it. But should get you more up to date and let you have more of the performance you want without running windows 7 which windows 7 is a really past being a footnote in history.

How were you even using a 7700XT with Windows 7? AMD's driver page doesn't even list a Windows 7 driver for that card, only Windows 10 and 11. I think it's time you stopped resisting upgrading Windows.

I mean, you can't even use Steam anymore, with Windows 7, so where are you getting your games from?

update:

AMD Case#{00435746} : i need someone to read the crash reports

In order to investigate further, I request you to provide updated Microsoft System Information (Msinfo32) and DXDiag reports from your system.
Which will capture the entire system configuration and drivers installed.
I request you to provide exact make and model of your PSU.
Once I have more information about your system configuration, I will be able to provide troubleshooting steps and recommendations to resolve your issue
Best regards,
Rakshith

[i have reopened this case for amd to take another look at the cause of these crashes
i have also started looking for a new psu:]

i have never experienced so many negative people all at the same time. it's as if you all are jealous that i'm using windows 7, the greatest operating system of all time. you know windows 10 and 11's only objective was to become more invasive and spy on you, but you accepted it. i won't accept that. is that what all the hullabaloo is about ? well that was your choice. just because you're not like me, that you can never be like me (as evidenced by the fact that you didn't bother to understand the op, which explicitly states i need to work and go to school), don't get all emotional about it. just accept it and move on
here are some of my digital games on gog.com

the other ones are on my shelf. yes, my desktop has a blueray/dvd/cd writer/player. i would rather not have to take a picture and post because why ? you just can't believe it ? get over it, and go back to your steam

thank you for this. i meant to say 6600 & 6650. the option to edit the op is no longer available

which makes the minimum psu recommendation 500 w

which makes the whole tirade that i had with skybot a mute point. i knew i didn't have a psu problem, i just couldn't remember all the details

and you're right, they don't have support for win 7. but they tried to - they must have pulled it. i did see win 7 drivers for the 6600 series in my downloads folder

so back to the op; i'm looking for the nvidia 30 series, which does support win 7. let's get back to that

I doubt the OS is the OP's problem - I also get regular crashes from the AMD drivers and I'm running a legit copy of Windows 11 Pro.

That said, their refusal to move past Windows 7 is extremely limiting, and given the minimal differences between 7, 10, and 11, hard to justify.
Loved win 7. 7 ran all my favorite games of the day. The time came when it was time to move along.

@hamoo

Please stop reporting this thread. There have been multiple people in here trying to help you FOR FREE, and you've done nothing but question their posts, namecall, and be fairly hostile.

This site requires you to work with the people helping you, not against them. Again they are doing this in their spare time, for free. Respect is compulsory. Thus your thread is closed. If you want to ask more questions I suggest you come back with a better attitude.
