Hey guys,

I have just built a computer with the help of a friend at college. Now im at home and realize I dont have easy access to wired internet in my home. I am looking for a cheap, internal, wireless reciever and am just not sure what I should look for with my build. I have windows 8 with the following build:

Processor: AMD FX-6350 3.9 GHz 6-core
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P
Memory: G.Skill Sniper Series 8GB DDR3-1866
Storage: Kingston SSDNow V300 Series 120 GB [SSD]
Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 7200 RPM
Video Card: HIS IceQ X^2 Turbo Boost Clock Radeon R9 270X 2GB GDDR5
Case: Raidmax ATX-298WY ATX Mid Tower
Power Supply: Corsair RM 750W 80+ Gold Certified
Optical Drive: LG Blue-Ray

Here is the pcpartpicker: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2xyzR

Also, the graphics card was not on pcpartpicker so here is the newegg link: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Im just lookin for somethin to find quick that I can rely on working. Thanks again in advance!

Hey travmac!

My PC does not have access to my modem/router wires so it has to rely on wireless network. Long story short, I've been using a wireless adaptor for two years and never had any problem with it. I've had this one : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833127244
But this one has a better rating on Newegg : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833704045
You can also buy a wireless PCI card like this one : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833166021
But personally I'd go for a USB just as many other people who prefer usb adaptor, it's small, you can put it on any usb port and it has great range in a house.
For 30 to 50$ you can get some really decent wireless internet.
Hope...

Thanks a ton for the feedback. That looks exactly like what I need! And not too expensive either. Makes sifting through all the options a lot easier. Thanks again!
