I've tried y-adapters (the signal got messed up and the primary monitor was rendered useless) and using 2 video cards (windows just extends the desktop to the side, can't find any option to have it mirror the primary). All I need is to have the second monitor show exactly what is on the first. Anyone have any ideas?

Hardware: AIW Radeon 8500DV 64meg AGP
Radeon 7000 pci
Primary monitor: Viewsonic P220f
Secondary monitor: Samsung Syncmaster 151s
Software: Windows XP

Thanks in advance.

you can buy a video splitter to do the trick...

we did this at my prior company....

in fact, my company had to close after 9-11... the events of last year caused us to go bankrupt...

BUT, i have a few of these slpitters in the closet...

if intrested, email me and we may be able to strike a deal...

I've got a GeForce4 MX440 whose software allows me to clone the image between my monitor and my television, which the ATI8500 must have as well. My suggestion is to update your driver and software, and just take your time and look in the display settings of your vid card's settings.
