.net framework version 2.0

I'm about to put an x1600 pro in as an upgrade from a 9600XT. I understand that new catalyst drivers require .net framework v1.1, but does anyone know how 2.0 affects it? Better? Worse? I figured I should ask if anyone had a clue before I messed something else up.

Download 2.0, it's more stable and opens less instances of CLI.exe

Also I've read of people having issues in Oblivion with 1.1 that disapreared once they went to 2.0

I was going to go to a GeForce 7900 GT or GTX... but now.

Guess I'll be running ATI Rage XL integrated longer than planned.

Yep, but unlike ATi it's pretty much a developer / beta-tester only thing, since they haven't made it mandatory next to no one is using it. So when it becomes mandatory we'll likely see the same outcry and peevedness from nV users. But being that Vistas been pushed back it makes ATi look like they should've waited until Cat 6.66 to implement it. 8)

Right now people are ticked off and there's no reason to rush their acceptance of it since it's now even further off before it'll be required.
