Okay, on my way out the door and figured id throw this up here quick
I have a laptop which i play games from... client based games... my girlfriend enjoys netflix.
i have the laptop hooked into a 32inch flat screen via HDMI... is it possible to split these screens so the netflix is playing on the tv with its own sound(not worried about controlling them separate) and at the same time play my video games from the laptops built in display??? AT THE SAME TIME... not sure if theres a setting im missing or if theres an installable prgram or if its something that would come with a higher grade graphics card. i am currently working with an intel 3000

Thank you for any replies

If its a small game you can, The intel 3000 is vary weak as it is for gaming, So you might run into problems. but playing say facebook games or lil flash games, it should handle it fine.

Suggest you to build a cheap desktop with a quad and a decent video card and you can do this vary easy, as I play BF3 and stream netflix without issues.

No, the sound would still be "1" device. Wether you have the sound playing thru the TV over the HDMI connection, or you have the sound playing thru your laptop speakers, both the Netflix and any other sounds (your game) will be playing thru it. I run a 4 monitor setup and do the same type of tasks. I'll game on anywhere from 1 - 3 screens with video playing on the 4th (live tv, or video from my pc). Audio all plays thru my computer speakers.

It is possible with the latest ATI 7 series cards to have seperate audio for each display, and if I disable my receiver I get this, since my monitors have speakers built in, each monitor can independtly play the audio for whatever is on the monitors screen. You need a 7 series ATI card and a monitor with HDMI or displayport connections to do this though.

the game is league of legends... rokuHD is a neat little device, id never heard of such a thing... im impressed and will definitely be looking into it more.whil we are on the subject of hdmi cables and such i have one more questions as well if you guys wouldnt mind. when watching netflix and such the picture on the tv....its allmost like it cant keep up? or the picture is twitchy....there will be lines that allmost separate the picture for split seconds ...this gets worse when theres action and quick camara angles and such. is this a crappy tv issue or it is a gpu issue. or entirely something else
