Netflix framerate issue only with extended desktop

I have HDMI out going from video card to TV, seems last week after updating Nvidia drivers I get choppiness in Netflix...it's as if frames are being dropped, there's just not smooth motion.

I use the extended desktop feature with my 560 Ti. The thing is, a) the choppiness only occurs with Netflix..playing a movie in WMP it's fine...and b) this only happens with extended desktop, if I switch to duplicate instead of extended, there's no chop. I need to have it extended so I can use PC and watch Netflix at same time.

I read this might be related to Windows Aero, so i disabled and the chop went away, but got some horrid frame tearing on my TV. Futhermore I don't care to have Aero disabled because of the nasty colors and terrible window animation.

Anybody have a clue as to what's going on here? Why does it work fine when cloned but not extended? I don't believe Aero should have to be disabled. Everything was a-ok until I upgraded to latest Nvidia drivers and I'm not about to go back because the previously drivers were severely old.

Wish it were that simple but Silverlight isn't the issue here, I did reinstall just for the heck of it. I do have hardware acceleration enabled as well. Honestly think it's something up with Windows because it only seems to affect Netflix.
