Netgear 3700 Router: Can not login to the setup page.

I have a NetGear 3700 router.
I reset the router and have it connected to my computer through ethernet.
I have internet connect but I can not login to the setup page. The default username is: admin and the default password is: password. Still, it will not allow me to login.
I checked my ip address using command prompt and it says that my IP is 10.0.0.1 and it's supposed to be 192.168.1.1
I also checked the Mac address and it does not match the Mac on the device.
Any suggestions would be helpful, Thank You.

Sounds messed up by the reset. You must have the default wireless address. On the rare occasion I used wireless I had to use the network key that is on the router if I didn't have automatic-connect set. I would try switching to wireless to enter that key and see what happens.
