Question network board can burn sound board?

Hello!
I added a network board to my motherboard yesterday and my speakers started to sound fizzley....today my speakers make only a fizzle noise and no sound....feels like the sound board (which is incorporated on mainboard) was burned or so....any ideea what hapened?

What make and model network board did you add to the motherboard? Why was the network board added? To solve some problem?

I dont know full specs. Is a AS Rock mainboard with integrated video-audio-network boards on it. I added the network board hoping to get better internet speed but was the same...

What speakers? Many PC speakers have the amp built-into the speakers. It is more likely the speakers failed than the PC failed.

speakers are fine . i tested them. i tried others....

did you checked your speakers without your network card? if speakers works without installing network card, then you can install network card with latest drivers,. (you can upgrade drivers with " driver booster " like softwares. you can download the software for free at getintopc.com if you like otherwise buy it). problem may be solved. and if it's not still work get your network card and eraser rub the eraser along network card's connecting area carefully then re-plug it. problem may be solved. thank you!

solved - the network board burned the sound chip from the MB
