Network card won't reach distant wi-fi

Alright I'm gonna try to be as clear/short as possible, I just built my new PC with the motherboard not having any wi-fi support so I had to buy an external netword card, plugged in, I can get close wi-fi signals very good like 4/5 bars, perfect ping with 0 packet loss and download speed as good as ethernet cable but when it comes to distant wi-fi like upstairs connection, I just can't get it.

That sounds weird to me cause with my previous PC (notebook) I could easily get upstairs connection with 2/3 bars, I mean that PC was supposed to have a worse network card, internal with inside antenna's . I mean I still can get that connection with any mobile phone but not with the new PC I built.

This is the netword card I bought https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B006BSPTAQ

How can I solve this? I thought 17€ was enough, must not. I'm wondering what a monster network card my 10 years old notebook has in. LOL.
P.S.: antennas position is correct, and I installed all drivers already. Thanks a lot in advance for any help. :)

First, use the WiFi Analyser app to check your signal strength (RSSI), since that metric would reveal a lot about the connection.
Second, the FCC test report says the gain on the TL-WN881ND's stock antennas is just 1.83 dBi. You can buy 2.4 GHz antennas on eBay or AliExpress with 12 dBi or more gain, which would increase your RSSI by the difference.

Third, do you have any Ethernet or coaxial cabling between upstairs and downstairs that isn't in use? Better antennas would help some, but concrete walls may mean it won't help a lot, so knowing more about the alternative access methods available would help with recommending a solution.
