Network Controller not fixed even after driver update?

I've downloaded the correct drivers from here http://www.gigabyte.us/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4408#dl. However I still get the error over my network controller! I'm sure it's the correct motherboard as it's the one CPUID shows. Anybody else know what might be the problem?

What is specifically the problem?

Doesn't detect network connection?

Gives a 'connected' but 'no internet access'?

Does connect but doesn't detect other computers?

if it a new build make sure the intel chipset driver is installed. look in the bios under onboard devices make sure the port turned on.
if this is a new build the network driver going to be on the motherboard cd. check that the port not shorted by the metal mb shield and there no bent pins or broken clips in it. make sure the clip goes in and snaps and the port led light comes on. if your using a router or cable modem make sure the port light comes on and is blinking.

No I connect to the internet just fine MOST of the time. But sometimes my rig just loses connection, unplugging and plugging in the ethernet cable sometimes fixes it, but usually only for short periods, it eventually comes back though. However I don't believe it is my internet or the cable as I've gone through 3 cables, and my wireless works just fine when it happens (on my laptop).

I will try out the intel chipset driver. I'm positive I loaded all the drivers off the cd when I first did everything, but I'll give it a redo. I'll take it apart tomorrow after work to look at the other stuff.

if your router having issues try plugging the pc into the cable modem. check in windows that power savings is off. (be under the device info in device manager). if your cable modem/router one piece from the isp and it a few years old replace it. if it newer unit see if the isp is the issue try open dns or google dns to see if you isp has a bad server. if your in an older home check how many splitters are used between the main input of the cable wire and the cable modem. to many will cause issues. check the cable on the side of your house make sure it tight and the wires are fine. check the wires going to your house are not tree damaged.
