Hi!

Good day! I am humbly asking for your help/comments/suggestions for my small problem.

Primary Objective: To be able to access my Local Network and my Video Surveillance System with remote view and playback (using the application installed in the computer) outside using DDNS.

Secondary Objectives: Network Optimizations, further suggestions, and etc.

Current Status:

1. Everything works fine locally. I have already configured DDNS but I can only access the device page of my ADSL modem. I was able to setup remote viewing of all of my surveillance cameras using TeamViewer (but I restricted it in "View" mode only so that it can be accessed by others without messing with the computer settings).

2. I use the TP-Link WDR4300 to control the QoS of my network since the other router offers only simple control over QoS and the ADSL Modem does not support QoS per client (and has a very "primitive" controls).

Here is my network setup:

Solution
.55 should be fine. looks like you are dealing with a port forwarding problem

and possibly double or triple NATing.
on the TP-link have you forwarded port 5150 and 5160 to .169

DSL modem should be in bridge mode

thanks for the reply!

any tips on how to port forward? I am having a hard time following the guides on the internet (plus I don't know if I am going to perform the port forwarding at the TP-Link router or at the ADSL Modem).

If I changed the mode of my ADSL Modem to BRIDGED mode, do I need to change to configuration of my cabling (WAN Port of TP-Link and LAN Port 1 of ADSL Modem)?

Sir! Good day! I am proud to say that I was able to fix my problem. Just like you said, I was able to set my ADSL Modem to BRIDGED MODE and I restarted all of my routers, I am now getting a WAN IP address in TPLINK router.

EDIT: forgot to add, I was also able to successfully port forward!

thank you very much! :bounce:
