Hiya

I am trying to setup a network and been looking around for some time now.

What I would like is as following.

Router -> Switch -> Wireless (2 access points)

Now the kicker is, this is easy, if you want to deal with multiple management tools.

In my "perfect" scenario, I would like for there to be one tool that can handle the router, switch and wireless access points.

I know ubiquiti have something, the Unifi series, but what bumpes me there is the switch option. Way overkill for me, to have a rack mountable switch. Is there a similar solution? that utilizes the same software for control?

It is a must that the software can get statistics on user basis, ip, mac and so on. So one can see whom or what is utilizing the bandwidth and how much.

Hi Kane

I actually think the unifi solution could work.

I have looked at the edge router and yes it would be POE to the access points then.

What bumpes me then, is that the edge router uses edgeos, where the access points would use the unifi software. Kills the 1 software solution.
