So I got my pc from a family member a while ago, but in recent times have noticed it has some problems with it. When the pc is turned off, my network works perfectly fine for everyone in the house, wireless and wired. Although as soon as the pc is running the internet starts to lag with big lag spikes everyone 10-15 minutes with it completely freezing for about 10 seconds. I've tried running Malware and virus scans on the pc, but it comes out with nothing. A short time before I got my pc from my brother our internet was under a DDoS attack from that specific pc. And so I know later thought that this may have something to do with the network issues, since they only begin when this pc is booted and connected to the internet. I've tried doing a factory reset on our router but nothing changed. I've checked the task manager one or two times, but didn't really find anything odd that shouldn't be running. The IP is changed from when the DDoS attack occurred, since we first thought it was the same person sending packets over and over again.
Anyone knows what this could be the cause of? Is there a way to see where the lag spikes are coming from if there is a program sending a bunch of packets?
Thanks in advance!
