I am using an ethernet connection and am on the internet able to do most things but suddenly my computer says Im not and as such it results in certain programs not functioning properly thinking there is no internet connection, I thought I could live with is but i keep running into more programs having problems. I have tried the ipconfig/release + renew as well as uninstalling in device manager, updating, looked in bios as well as gone into the registry and did this:

“HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesNlaSvcParametersInternet”
Modify “EnableActiveProbing” and change the value from ‘0’ to ‘1’.

and changed my DNS servers to google

I think clearly its a problem with the Network Connectivity Status Indicator (NCSI)
Please help me !
Thank you

I have the stock spectrum router,

It could be as simple as a bad cable.

Try unchecking IPv6 in your adapter properties. Windows might be using both IPv4 and IPv6 and one is probably less stable than the other.
