Hey there!

So my problem is that i sold my gpu and bought an APU from AMD and it doesn’t post! I updated the bios to the newest version for my Gigabyte B450 Aorus Elite (F64a)
plugged my monitor into the onboard HDMI, but when i start my rig the VGA led is on,
cpu and ram is fine! Any thoughts about this? Thanks!

Do you know what BIOS version you were on before you updated it to F64a? Looking at your motherboards support page, there are special instructions if updating the BIOS to F40 and above, it states,
''Note:
  1. If you are using Q-Flash Utility to update BIOS, make sure you have updated BIOS to F32 before F40
  2. Before update BIOS to F40, you have to install EC FW Update Tool (B19.0517.1 or later version) to avoid 4DIMM DDR incompatibility on 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen™ CPU. ''

Did you follow these steps?

i don’t remember which bios did i have before the update but it was not an old one like that i’m sure about that.
can i update the bios somehow without a graphics card? i still have my 1600AF! or did i screw this up big time? don’t think i installed the update tool to be honest…

i think i had F61 bios before this one but don’t remember updating with the tool. but the cpu and ram led didn’t lid up when i turn on the system

so the conclusion! the bios was up to date, everything was fine with that! the problem was about replacing the cpu and bios dropped a message before booting about changing the cpu and had to reset something with a press of a button but didn’t see the message because of no display! so i bought a very cheap old vga, put it in, turn on the cpu and voila! after a couple of bios setups i removed the old vga and now i can enjoy my 5600G with no issues! thanks for the help guys!
