New apartment ethernet activation

Just moved into a new apartment, and I was wondering how to activate all the ethernet ports in the apartment. Do I just need to connect my modem to an ethernet port and the rest will be activated? Or is it more in depth than that?

Only your apartment management know for sure. The only thing I have for you is, are u sure those are ethernet and not plain phone (landline) jacks.

If the rent includes Internet service then definitely management should take care of that for you.

That would depend upon the apartment and the internet provider. If the internet is provided by the apartment building (?), then contact the manager. If not contact the internet provider for installation.

I suppose it may be possible that internet service is a perk. I've just not seen it.
