Hi all,
I built this computer yesterday, and now my daughter is getting pretty constant crashes while gaming. Skyrim, Left 4 Dead, and TF2 have been intermittently going to a black screen and crashing. A couple of times it's been a pretty hard crash with audio looping and a hard restart needed. I've tried disabling / deleting all the drivers and reinstalling, and changing the options through CCC to be all game controlled, but nothing so far. I'm still fairly new to hardware, and my troubleshooting skills are not that great. The GPU temp is at 29c, so it's not heat. Any thoughts? The kid is blaming it on Windows 8, but I'm pretty positive that isn't it. It looks like a card issue.
