Hi all, I'm planning on building my first PC soon.
My budget is between £500 - £800, but anything less would be great! (The UK doesn't have great part pricing at the moment...)
I want to do 3D CAD editing (SOLIDWORKS, Sketchup), photo/video editing, animation (all a relatively novice prosumer level) and to play games at max 60fps
I don't know about resolution either: 1080p or 1440p?
At the moment, I'm thinking along the lines of:
CPU: Ryzen 1600
GPU: Sapphire Pulse RX 580 4gb
RAM: Corsair Vengance LPX DDR4 8/16gb (not sure about speed)
Motherboard: MSI B350m Mortar MATX
Storage: 128/256gb SSD and HDD later?
Case: NZXT S340
PSU: Corsair CX450m
As I said, I'm new to all of this, so several questions:
What is the best value for money with the GPU, wither NVIDIA GTX1060 3/6gb, RX 480/570/580 4/8gb?
Same with CPU, do I go with the 1400, 1500X or 1600 (1600x is too high)
How much RAM will be enough, I was thinking 8GB now and double later?
Also, what's up with RYZEN and RAM speed? Generally there is very little price differentiation between DDR4 speeds
Sorry for the vast amount of questions/long post (I just would like a bit of guidance before parting with my money!)
Thanks for any help!
