Be Quiet Silent Base 601 Window Orange

Do you need to buy OS: Yes

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Any but Amazon is easiest if possible

Location: London, UK

Parts Preferences: None

Additional Comments: A Quiet build with cool temps is my priority, if you are able to use my current case then great, if not please suggest a new one!

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: Would like a more top of the line pc to play new games and render faster in after effects.

I have no idea how much storage you require so I left it blank. Nvidia is due to release their RTX 50XX series gpu's in January so that's something you might consider. Ignore the bios warning in the link, this board allows you to update the bios without installing the cpu and RAM.

Thanks for the build, looks really great, and if the 50 series is coming out in January, I would definitely be up for waiting for it, I have however heard that new cards are very difficult to get your hands on, is this still an issue?

Also just one question, pardon my ignorance but what is the reason to go for the 14700 over the 14700k? Just price or is there a performance advantage?

Thanks!

Your case is ok, but I would probably recommend something with better airflow, unless you really want to keep that one. The 9800x3d is coming 11/7, so you might want to hold off a bit.

I chose the 7900xtx, as it is cheaper, has more v-ram than a 4080s, and unless you want ray tracing, a bit faster as well.

The 14700 is easier to tame but if you'd rather go with the 14700K then all you have to do is change the cpu ^^

I like the idea of waiting for the 9800x3D, though I've never actually had an AMD processor, I've always been a bit sceptical about them due to a friend having reliability issues, but if that's not a common thing then I'm more than open to the idea! Thanks very much for the build!

Okay - makes sense, appreciate it!
