Hi community. I am looking to build a new PC, mostly for gaming. I do NOT need a monitor, mouse, or keyboard. I am open to suggestions and been a gamer for 25yrs and always built my own on suggestions from this sight for decades.
I have had previous success with Nvidia/GeForce series graphics cards and prefer to stay with one. I have used intel and AMD both in past builds and do not have any prob with either. I would like to keep the machine under $3000. I will be running Windows newest version.
I have never had liquid cooling before and only want it if it is needed.

You are a month too late. Now wait for another 2 months. Because for that price RTX4090 setup is highly recommended. But sadly it went up in price very recently. But is said to be back down in coming 2 months.

I highly recommend waiting for it if possible. As RTX4090 is a huge improvement over anything else we got this generation.

Wow they are over $2k (rtx4090)

I might buy a prebuilt pc just to get the card cheaper if I have to

You really don't need a 4090 for 1080P. You could spend a fraction of what you'd spend on a card like the 7800XT or a 4080 Founder's Edition for that card. A 4090 is massive overkill for 1080P. Even at 144Hz, I don't know where this information is coming from.

If your keeping the monitor you have what was listed above is way overkill.
I also don't like having the OS and programs on the same drive as games, I've seen people having lag spikes using that.

$1942.

EDIT if you wish to spend more get the 1K watt PSU probably overkill and wait for the 4070ti Super.
You could even keep your 1080 video card till the 4070ti Super comes out.

Keeping your 1080 now would be spending in the 1200 buck area waiting on the 4070ti super to come out. Not sure about that power draw of the new card so get the MSI 1K watt PSU.

Now, I am thinking about 4K but I have to keep the monitor to a 27" bc of space. Are there good 4K 27" class monitors. Is 27" big enough to get the good 4K vibe???

I do appreciate all the input!

Actually even with RTX4090 I recommend sticking to 1440p. Not 4K. Because over time more demanding the games get 1440p got a much better chance to get you Highest settings and still manage smooth game-play. RTX4090 is not at 4K yet.

That is actually the right price for that. Because that is ASUS ROG Strix GPU and the rest of the build is also priced right. I can most definitely cut the cost if you are not into RGB though.

It is $150 difference just for the Bling. So yeah you can decide.

But yes that is almost at MSRP nothing more. I mean yes you could have gone with ASUS TUF or Gigabyte Gaming OC GPU for $200 less. But that is it. That GPU is actually at its regular price.
