Recently, I built my friend's new gaming PC.

Specs: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/J36rBm

Anyways after everything was said and done and we finished the windows installation the 2TB WD Black HDD is being picked up by the motherboard BIOS-(http://i.imgur.com/CGqf59s.jpg) but not by disk management. We tried multiple times to rescan disks and to refresh and see if it would pop up but it didn't. Anyone know what the potential issue could be and what we can do to fix it?? All drivers and everything is properly installed what we may end up doing is doing a clean install of windows and see if that fixes some of the issues.

After looking into it the m.2 ssd isnt being picked up in the BIOS but its being picked up disk management. However, the 2TB HDD is being picked up by the BIOS but not disk management.

Hey there, FeverHD.

Sorry to hear about the trouble you're having with your drive. I'd recommend that you try it with a different SATA port and cable to see if the same thing happens. Also you could try switching from AHCI to IDE SATA mode in the BIOS or vise versa, to see if this changes anything. I'd also suggest that you download DLG (Data Lifeguard Diagnostics) to see if it recognizes the HDD and if it does - run both tests (Quick and Extended), to make sure that the drive is working properly. Here's how to do that: How to test a drive for problems using Data Lifeguard Diagnostics for Windows

Hope that helps. Please let me know how everything goes.
